Study on Traditional Chinese Medicine Syndrome Types in NPC
Abstract
As one of head and neck tumors, nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) occurs most frequently in the south of China, especially in Hunan, Guangzhou and other places, causing serious harm to people's life and health. NPC patient is mainly treated with radiotherapy in clinic, but most of them have serious side effects. At present, traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) combined with chemoradiotherapy in the treatment of NPC patient has been focused on by Chinese and Western clinicians. Although TCM syndrome differentiation has significant advantages in the treatment of nasopharyngeal cancer, the relevant syndrome type standards for TCM syndrome differentiation guidance are still not unified. Therefore, this paper summarized the clinical experience, clinical data analysis and experimental research of TCM scholars in recent years, discussed the role and influence of TCM syndrome differentiation on the treatment of NPC. It provides some guidance for the standardization of TCM syndrome differentiation of NPC patients.
