Publishing Schedule
The Journal of Global Trends in Social Science (JGTSS) is a bimonthly journal that publishes interdisciplinary research on emerging issues, debates, and developments in the social sciences.
Publication frequency
JGTSS publishes six issues each year, with one issue released every two months. Complete issues are normally finalized and released at the end of odd-numbered months: January, March, May, July, September, and November.
Article-first publication
JGTSS follows an article-first publication model. Once an article has been accepted, edited, typeset, and approved for publication, it may be published online in the current issue before the full issue is completed.
During each publication cycle, finalized articles are added to the current issue on a rolling basis. At the end of the relevant odd-numbered month, the issue is formally closed and released as a complete issue.
Special issues
In addition to regular issues, JGTSS may publish special issues on selected themes or emerging topics in the social sciences. Calls for papers for special issues are announced through the journal website and other official channels.
This bimonthly schedule, combined with article-first publication, allows JGTSS to maintain a regular issue cycle while reducing unnecessary delays in the publication of accepted articles.
