Open Access
JGTSS provides immediate open access to its published research. Readers do not pay a subscription or access fee and do not need to register or log in to read or download an article. Access begins when the article is formally released online; it is not delayed until an issue closes or until an institution subscribes.
Reader and reuse rights
Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence, CC BY 4.0, available at https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/. The licence allows reading, downloading, copying, printing, sharing and adaptation, including commercial reuse, provided its attribution and other conditions are met. Readers may search, link to and conduct text and data mining of the content within the applicable rights. They do not need separate permission from the journal or authors for uses already authorized by the licence.
A reuser identifies the author and source, links to the licence and indicates changes. Reuse must not imply that the authors or journal endorse a translation, adaptation, product or service. Third-party material identified as excluded from the article’s licence remains subject to its own terms; such an exception is explained in the relevant credit line. Rights in personal information, trademarks or other protected interests may remain even when copyright reuse is permitted.
Author rights and publication costs
Authors retain copyright and grant the publisher a non-exclusive authorization to publish and maintain the accepted work. Their repository rights are explained in Preprints and Repository Deposit. The article’s licence notice appears on the landing page and in each published full-text format, so readers can establish their rights without searching a general website footer.
JGTSS finances publication through its declared business model and an APC where applicable. The reader’s freedom to access an article is distinct from the author’s publication charge. The current approved fee and waiver conditions are stated before submission in Article Processing Charges and Refunds and Fee Waivers and Institutional Discounts. Payment status must not purchase favorable review or acceptance. Optional official printed copies do not restrict free digital access or the ability to print a lawful copy independently.
Continuity and corrections
JGTSS’s scholarly articles are published under CC BY 4.0 with author copyright retained. This applies to the journal’s historical scholarly articles as well as current publications. Conflicting non-commercial, exclusive-rights or additional-permission boilerplate is corrected transparently, with the real article dates preserved. Specific third-party exceptions and rights outside the licence remain separately identified.
Readers should report a broken full-text link, login barrier, missing licence or conflicting reuse statement to jgtsseditorialoffice@jandoopress.com. The production team investigates the article and any mirror or repository record it controls, restores access when possible and records a material rights correction transparently. DOI registration and ordinary website hosting support discovery but do not by themselves prove that an independent archive holds the content.
