Direct Marketing
Journal of Global Trends in Social Science sends new-issue information and calls for papers by email to registered users and may send relevant calls to scholars working closely within its subject area. Messages identify the journal and publisher, accurately explain the opportunity and provide a practical unsubscribe route. Submission communications are kept distinct from optional promotion.
Relevant and accurate invitations
A message identifies JGTSS and the organization sending it, explains the subject or opportunity and provides a working link to the journal. Selection of recipients should relate to demonstrated scholarly interests or an existing engagement with the journal. A mass invitation is not described as a personal assessment of the recipient’s research unless an editor has actually made that assessment.
Calls for papers describe the scope, article types, review route, submission deadline where one exists and the applicable fee and assistance information. Thematic invitations name the responsible guest editors and any organizing institution accurately. They do not guarantee publication, a review duration, citations, an impact measure or future acceptance by Scopus, DOAJ or another database.
Respecting the recipient
Recipients can decline further promotional contact through a clear reply or opt-out route. The office records and respects that preference across campaigns under its control. An unsubscribe request does not affect a person’s ability to submit a manuscript, review when separately invited or receive necessary transactional messages about an active article. The journal distinguishes essential editorial correspondence from promotional mail.
Contact lists are obtained and maintained responsibly. Public availability of an email address does not justify excessive or indiscriminate solicitation. Confidential reviewer records, private hardship information and details from unpublished manuscripts must not be used to target marketing. A message must not suggest that a submission request came from the recipient’s institution, a funder or an indexing database when it did not.
Partners oversight and correction
Any partner or contractor authorized to send invitations on the journal’s behalf receives the same requirements and uses an approved description of the journal. The publisher remains responsible for checking claims, controlling frequency and acting on complaints. Academic partnerships and fee agreements are described according to their actual scope; a cooperating university’s logo must not imply that its entire community has endorsed the journal.
The office checks that links, deadlines and price information remain current before a campaign is sent. If an invitation includes a material error, the journal corrects it for affected recipients without using the correction as a pretext for further promotion. A submitted manuscript arising from a campaign receives ordinary independent assessment.
Recipients may report misleading invitations or request an end to promotional contact at jgtsseditorialoffice@jandoopress.com, identifying the message and sender. The publisher investigates unauthorized use of the journal’s name and takes appropriate steps to stop it. An allegation that an invitation concealed paid acceptance is referred for an integrity assessment.
Professional contact sources and withdrawals
A professional address may be considered for a targeted invitation only where the recipient’s work directly relates to the social-science topic. The Editorial Office must retain the public source, access date and relevance rationale, check any applicable permission requirement, and respect access controls, site terms and restrictions on collection or solicitation. Staff must not buy indiscriminate lists, infer private addresses, bypass anti-scraping restrictions or collect unrelated personal contacts. An address being visible online is not unrestricted permission to use it.
Each promotional email provides an unsubscribe link or a clear reply-to-unsubscribe instruction; jgtsseditorialoffice@jandoopress.com also accepts requests. Promotion must stop promptly after an objection. Unneeded list details are removed within 30 days, while a minimal suppression record prevents accidental re-enrolment. Registration never overrides an opt-out or a required consent condition. Necessary manuscript, invoice or correction correspondence continues only for its own purpose. Lists are not sold, and bulk delivery must conceal other recipients’ addresses.
