Business Model
Open access and APC definition
- All Jandoo Press journals are fully open access: readers do not pay to access articles.
- APC (article processing charge) is a publication fee, where applicable, that covers the costs of peer-review management, editorial services, production, hosting, DOI registration/metadata, indexing deposits, and long-term preservation.
- APCs, if used, are invoiced only after acceptance and do not influence editorial decisions.
APC pricing
- APC amounts are set by each journal. For the exact price and any journal-specific terms, see the Business model statement on the relevant journal page.
What publication costs cover
- Peer review and editorial management
- Copyediting and typesetting
- Online hosting and platform maintenance
- DOI registration and metadata management
- Indexing/repository deposits and digital preservation (e.g., CLOCKSS/LOCKSS)
Other fees
- Unless a journal states otherwise, there are no submission fees, page charges, colour charges, or editorial handling fees.
Waivers and discounts
- Journals may provide waivers or discounts (e.g., for authors from low-income economies, for institutional agreements, or documented hardship).
- Requests should be made during submission; outcomes are communicated transparently and do not affect editorial decisions.
Withdrawals
- Manuscripts may be withdrawn at any time without charges.
Transparency and contact
Each journal page lists its APC (if any), waiver options, and contacts.
